How many years of warranty are given with the instrument?

Takahe gives a One year warranty for most equipment against Manufacturing Defects. Consumables are not covered under this warranty.

Is there an extended warranty option?

Companies can opt for extended warranty at additional cost. The same terms of the warranty will apply.

Do you have branches for servicing instruments post sales?

Takahe Analytical Instruments has no branches. Servicing of instruments across India is managed by our office at Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Takahe has not trained nor authorized any third party for servicing our brand of instruments.

What are the modes of deploying service?

Takahe offers remote service via video call or by sending an engineer for repairs. This is totally dependent on the client comfort and preference.

What is the Turn Around Time for servicing a breakdown?

Once we receive an Email/ Website notification mentioning the issue and work order the customer can expect a visit within 24 business hours after completing due process. Prior appointment is taken with the user before sending the engineer.

Does your service costs cover spares and spare parts?

No. Servicing costs do not include parts. The parts can be procured prior to the engineer visit.

Do you undertake Annual Maintenance Contracts?

Yes. We take AMCs across India.

What does your AMC cover?

An AMC typically covers a preventive maintenance visit, validation of instrument and 2 breakdown visits. Parts are not covered in the AMC.

Do you offer refresher training?

Yes, the same can be done at a cost or can be clubbed during a service visit (if time permits).

Does Takahe undertake manufacturing of instruments as per client requirement?

There are often requests for developing customized or local products for labs. In case the product is in the sphere of sample preparation and user requirements are submitted, Takahe undertakes these jobs after a technical evaluation.
